about
Q'S Natural Hair Bar
My name is Quindella, and in the salon I’m known as Ms. Q. I’ve been in the hair industry for over 25 years, and hair has always come naturally to me—so cosmetology school was a no-brainer.
I began my career apprenticing under a seasoned hairstylist who taught me not just how to do hair, but how to care for hair. That early foundation in hair health created a different lens for me—one that set me apart from stylists who were simply styling. I became known as the hairstylist with “Growing Hands.”
My true passion was unlocked when I returned to natural hair in 2005. At the time, relaxed hair was still the norm, and wearing natural hair—especially type 4 hair—wasn’t widely embraced. I became my own guinea pig, experimenting with products, techniques, and routines until I discovered what truly worked for my high-density 4C curl pattern. That journey taught me not only how resilient and versatile natural hair is, but how powerful it can be when properly cared for.
I proudly wore Bantu knots, twist-outs, braid-outs, and coils—becoming my own billboard for clients searching for a stylist who truly understood natural hair. In the process, I became my brand, and my love for natural hair only deepened.
Today, that journey has evolved even further. I am now loc’d myself, and I specialize in traditional locs and microlocs, offering intentional, healthy loc foundations and maintenance rooted in education, patience, and hair integrity. I understand locs not just as a style, but as a lifestyle and commitment, and I approach every head with the respect it deserves.
At Q’S Natural Hair Bar, my mission remains the same: to nurture healthy hair, honor natural textures, and help my clients feel confident, aligned, and empowered in their crown.
